El Anatsui: After the Red Moon
Inaugural Global Tour
El Anatsui: After the Red Moon embarks on its first international tour, opening at the Museum of Art Pudong (MAP), Shanghai. Presented as one of MAP’s most significant collaborative projects with Tate, the exhibition brings to China the work of Ghanaian artist El Anatsui — among the most influential artists working today and recipient of the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 56th Venice Biennale (2015).
This monumental installation was originally conceived and commissioned as the Hyundai Commission: El Anatsui: Behind the Red Moon for Tate Modern, London (2023–2024), and now extends its resonance across global audiences.
